I just bought a big jar of lemon curd and I keep spreading in on my toast, which I know isn’t really that healthy since there’s enough sugar in there to put an elephant into a diabetic coma, but I don’t really care. I love lemon curd. A lot. I also love meringue and indulging every once in a while in something completely decadent and ridiculously sweet. Nectarine Galette
A galette is a round, flat cake with fruit on top. Galette, the word itself is derived from galet, a pebble weather-worn to the shape ideal for skipping. Nectarines are my favorite fruit and I love anything fruit, crust, sugar and baked involving so this is going to be an all-time favorite of mine, I can tell already! Click here for the full recipe.

Just in Time for Independence Day :: Lemon Meringue Pie
I am obsessed with all things lemon and lemon meringue pie is one of my all-time favorites second only to strawberry-rhubarb pie, and it’s a close second! I highly recommend buckling down and making your own because no store bought pie is ever going to taste as good as the pie with all your love in every bite.
