Kickstarter Comic “Lust”

An interview with the creators of Lust, a comic book that covers the idea of what lust and chastity and other vices can teach us.  I love the music in the background; can’t wait to get me a copy!  Check out some of the artwork and the Kickstarter site here.

The Cat With Hands

I have to stop watching creepy videos late at night…  I’m starting to get nightmares.  But, just so that I know I’m not alone, here’s a slightly less creepy, slightly more cool video by Robert Morgan.

Ryan Hanson Illustrations

Up and coming artist Ryan Hanson seems to be just another one of the world’s hidden gems, but hopefully not for long.  I love his use of color to evoke feeling in each of his pieces like the raw brush strokes on the American Gods cover art pictured above.   Check out some of his other rad works; you can find his website here and his tumblr page here.

T-Shirt Makeover

I am one of those people who when they see a witty shirt, has an uncontrollable need to own it.  Then what happens?  I realize how unflattering it is on me and it immediately becomes a night shirt or a “putting around the house” shirt.  Well not anymore!  I love this idea of making the shirt more fun and far more flattering!  Click here for the how-to!

Flower Pounding Printing

Anything that involves a little violence and a lot of artsy is my cup of tea so this flower pounding printing project is right up my alley.  Venting frustrations and creating beautiful works of art are two very important practices of mine and as far as I’m concerned, doing them both at the same just saves energy.  Click here for Garden Therapy’s awesome how-to on this super cool project for kids of all ages.
