Decktop Pond

A pond in the backyard is a must-have for me, but I move a lot and since I rent, digging up a hole in the yard to install a pond doesn’t make a whole lot of sense.  It never even occurred to me to make an above-ground pond, but luckily I have all these craft blogs I follow that point out the things I don’t think up on my own.  Click here for the how-to.

Fabric Mail Organizer

This is perfect for a roommate situation with each pocket belonging to each roommate!  Keeping the mail organized (aka not all over the dining room table) can be an arduous task even when it’s just your own mail, so organizers are a great way to keep track of your bills and letters.  Personally I put my outgoing mail in my purse so I don’t forget it.  Click here for the how-to.

Personalized Tea Bags

I love tea and I love sharing my favorite teas with those who also love tea so it is with great pleasure that I share this project for making your own tea bags.  In this tutorial Hello Little House suggests that you use prepackaged teas and sort of spiff them up, but you can also go to any loose leaf store, purchase empty tea bags and your favorite teas, and quite literally make your own tea bags.  Click here to check out the how-to!

DIY LEGO Keyring Holder

I’m sure everyone has seen this project by now since it’s being reblogged by so many people, but I just had to share in the off chance that there was someone out there who hadn’t seen this awesome project that would end up really liking it.  I wouldn’t rest well thinking that there was someone missing out on something like this, so here, my friends, here it is.  Click here to view this LEGO keyring project; the site is in two languages, just scroll down for English.

DIY Recharge Station

In the last few years I have seen hundreds, if not thousands, of recharge station DIY projects and though I absolutely love the concept, none of them really grabbed my attention.  Until, that is, now.  Tasha has found a way to turn an ordinary shoe box into a work of art that won’t make my apartment fell like I’ve filled my home with dumpster dive finds.  Not to say that there aren’t people out there that don’t make wonderful items or even homes out of dumpster dive finds, I am just not one of those people.  Click here for Tasha’s wonderful and easy project!

Poolside Green Tea Mist

Here in Colorado, one of the driest states in the country, there are times where the temperature quickly becomes unbearable.  So how do I manage a little lounge time in the backyard, by the pool or in the park and mountains?  Why with a little mist, my dear fellows!  I had never even thought of using something as great as green tea and now I’m thinking that a little lemongrass oil (amazing for the skin as well) would be great either on its own or along with the green tea in my neon blue mister bottle!  Click here for the recipe.
